The Judah Bible Curriculum

K-12 Bible Class Curriculum – Principle Approach (see below).

Make the Bible the center of your home education. Build Godly self-governing character in yourself and your students, which is the true source of liberty and sustainable freedom in America.

Built to Transform

Purpose

The Purpose of the Judah Bible Curriculum is for Bible Literacy to be the hallmark of the new generation of Christians. The Judah Bible Curriculum is designed to help you teach your student how to study and research the Bible, extract true understanding from it, and apply Biblical principles to his or her own life and character.

Principle Approach

The Judah Bible Curriculum is a “Principle Approach” Bible curriculum. The student learns God’s purpose in history, studying the hand of God in the lives of men and nations through the Bible. The student develops reasoning ability, helping him to apply Biblical principles personally. The curriculum helps you shift from rote learning to Biblical reasoning. The student learns the relationship between the sovereignty of God and the personal responsibility of the individual. The student learns the relationship between individual character and national liberty.

Break Curriculum Dependance

You will teach the Bible to your students. The curriculum is designed to help both teacher and student break curriculum dependence and become self-educating students of the Word of God. The curriculum allows for lots of creativity in your design of the daily study. In order for there to be sustained liberty in any society, there must be a shift in character to non-dependence. The Judah Bible Curriculum is designed to help you build this character shift.
Bible Literacy

It is important to recognize that literacy consists of more than just the ability to read. True literacy also includes having both a basis in Truth and the ability to reason from that basis to discover the answers to life’s questions and apply what is read.
Just knowing Bible verses and Bible stories is not sufficient as a basis in Truth. We must pass on to our kids a simple, practical understanding of the character of God, the ways of God, and His purposes in the earth and our own lives. The lack of either this basis in Truth from which to reason or the ability to reason renders our children directionless and dependent.

Recognizing the hand of God

The Judah Bible Curriculum is designed to help you build this basis by enabling you to teach your students how to research the Bible and how to understand through the Bible the hand of God in the lives of individuals and nations. Bible stories are thus set in their context of God’s purposes in history, rather than presented as isolated events. The student is then taught to reason from this basis to apply Biblical principles and concepts to every area of life, and to his own life personally. You will teach the core ideas and principles through the Bible each year. Each year, however, the students will be studying different Bible Keys – individuals, events, institutions and documents – adding to their understanding of the whole by studying the parts in detail and in context.
Any version of the Scriptures is acceptable. The students will not be required to read through the whole Bible each year as part of the course. Because the Bible is the textbook, it is the teacher who decides the doctrinal flavor of Bible class.

The Bible
is the textbook

Using the Judah Bible Curriculum, the BIBLE is the textbook, so the student studies the Bible itself instead of an external curriculum. This makes the Bible class much more exciting, thought provoking, discussion stimulating, and valuable. You will bring in external resources to enhance the study of the Bible. The JBC Scope and Sequence gives you a curriculum map for K-12. Each week in Bible class the student studies one Bible Key in depth for the whole week from the Scriptures and from other resources as applicable.

Our children will need to be the most Godly, intelligent, Biblical generation of Christians the world has ever seen, in order to provide leadership in a world falling apart. The Judah Bible Curriculum is intended to help you give them the comprehensive Bible foundation and worldview necessary for that generation of leaders.

What Teachers Are Saying

“We are extremely pleased! The Judah Bible Curriculum is especially conducive for a home-school situation, because it is easily applied to any grade level. All students may study the same portions of scripture, but may have varied assignments according to their level. It also allows the Holy Spirit to teach the child at his or her own level of understanding of God and His word.
The curriculum gives the student a complete overview of the Bible in a relatively short period of time. Each school year the student studies Genesis through Revelation, adding to and varying the areas of study each year. This gives the student the ability to understand God’s continual working with man to accomplish His will. As the student studies various portions of scripture, there remains continuity in their study of God’s word as a whole. The course is exceptional.”

“I was extremely excited about presenting the Bible to my kids from a perspective of ‘God’s hand in History.’ I was able to guide them through Old Testament stories and accounts with new perspective. The children were able to see God’s plan for each Bible character and how God prepared that person for His divine purpose. Then they were able to apply that principle to their own lives and to realize that they were individually being prepared for God’s special purpose. The response from the children was so encouraging and the interest level very high! This new approach sparked loads of questions as we attempted to look into the ‘why’s’ instead of just the details. I liked the freedom I had as the teacher to create my own activities; from group interaction, to games, to art activities. All of those things allowed the children to view Bible time as an enjoyable experience!”
